When the snow comes!

St leonard's Tower on a snowy eveningSo here we are in December, with mixed feelings about the weather. Snow at Christmas can be beautiful, and a headache for travel.

Snow in the countryside can be very picturesque and then a real pain for the days after as the snow becomes slushy and lingers about!

From a painting point of view though it is delightful, but only to photograph and rush back into the warm to paint.  Watercolours are great to paint when the snow is about and often the skies are dramatic.

Here are some painted over recent years., and I hope you will enjoy them. Some are from my Family History project showing places as they may have been when our ancestors were associated with them, others from holidays and the local area.

I think I am looking forward to some more snow this year but with mixed feelings as ever! Shovel and boots at the ready!
