Spring has Sprung!
Hi Everybody
It has been a funny week here in Kent with cold and, unusually for this time on year ,frosty mornings, but then the sky is blue and the sun warms things up and there is no doubt that spring is here!
Now that we have had our second vaccine and our lockdown restrictions are easing the light at the end of the tunnel seems a lot brighter and bigger than it has for past year.
So we are back to golf and this scene from my local golf course inspired this watercolour of our part of Kent.
Here are a few other Kent Spring watercolours which I hope you will also enjoy
Have a safe and happy Spring!
Brian

Lovely images of Kent. We live in Kent but with the lifting of some restrictions we are now enjoying the colours of the Cornish coast for a while, its so nice to finally have a change of scenery
Thanks for the comment
Enjoy Cornwall, I am enjoying your posts
I recently did a post on Cornwall but as in lockdown it was from home!

Many thanks Brian, glad you are enjoying them. Its just so good to be posting about current travels again and not just memories, although the travel memories are great to look back on. Unlike you we can only capture magnificent places with photos, its a wonderful thing to be able to reproduce those sights on canvas, not a talent we have.😊
Loved the variety in your artwork but I especially loved Spring Reflections – to me it seems like a departure from your usual style albeit a lovely departure.
Wish we were “departing” somewhere other than our restricted environment here. One day…
Hi Kathryn
Thanks for your nice comment
Every now and again I feel like trying something different and these vertical wet into wet sort of watercolours are often the result.
Maybe I will do a post of a collection of them soon as a group. They are fun to do.
It now looks like our Canadian Rockies trip is not going to happen this year which is a shame but maybe we will manage it next year! At least we can now meet 6 people outdoors and we have had both our vaccines. Yippee!
Best regards
Brian
Lovely paintings of Kent in spring. I especially like the Oasts in Spring with the stone bridge!
