As well as painting overseas I have painted places in the UK.
Some of these have come about as part of research into our family histories.
Mostly the paintings have been done from photographs taken at the scene although this year I hope to do a little more painting at the place, but not too much in the public glare!
These are some of the UK which span many years of painting.
- In 1891 my Great great grandfather was the Weight and Measures Inspector in West Malling. Maybe the house looked at bit like this then. in West malling in Kent.
- In the 1880’s my Great Grandfather ran this beer house in Chapel street in Bluetown on the Isle of Sheppey.
- St Margaret’s Church, Barming, Kent
